On March 11th, Dr. Jin Ling from Inha University in South Korea came to our school for academic exchanges. Professor Hu Xuhua, Dean of the Institute of Industrial Economics presided over the meeting, and related teachers from the institute attended the meeting.

First of all, President Hu Xuhua welcomed Dr. Jin's visit on behalf of the Institute and introduced the development of the Institute. Subsequently, Dr. Jin described his study experience in Korea and made an academic report entitled “Are the credit channels effective - Evidence from Korean enterprise data”. Dr. Jin used the Korean policy interest rate and the credit data of the non-financial private sector to establish a dynamic panel model. Through analysis and comparison, he concluded that the impact of the Korean benchmark interest rate on the enterprise financing spread was different before and after the financial crisis, the impact of the Korean benchmark interest rate on the enterprise financing spread was different according to the characteristics of the enterprise ,and the impact of US monetary policy on the financing spread of Korean enterprises only appears after the crisis. Finally, Dr. Jin had an in-depth exchange and discussion with the teachers of the Institute on this topic.

The successful holding of this exchange meeting not only provided opportunities for academic exchanges for the teachers of the Institute, but also helped to broaden the channels for international cooperation and added new vitality to the internationalization of the Institute in 2021.
